For an eligible new or substantially renovated home at $1 million or less, the federal first-time-buyer rebate can recover GST up to $50,000. The maximum phases out linearly from $1 million to $1.5 million and is zero at $1.5 million or more.

How much is the first-time home buyer GST rebate?
The price-based maximum is up to $50,000 at $1 million or less, phases out between $1 million and $1.5 million, and is zero at $1.5 million or more, subject to all program conditions.
